Woven Spiral Waves

This line of work is derived from the simpler "Spiral Waves". I first create an outer frame by fusing Argentium sterling silver into the desired shape (a ring, teardrop, heart, etc.) and then hammer it to harden the frame and add some textural interest. A length of wire, either Argentium silver or 14 kt. gold-fill, is then woven onto the frame. The wire is then formed into overlapping waves of spirals, which are highlighted both by the weaving around them on the frame, and by the negative (empty) space within the frame.
